Today marks a momentous milestone—the 50th anniversary of the Child Support Program. On January 4, 1975, the U.S. passed Title IV-D of the Social Security Act, establishing the nation’s child support program and creating a framework to ensure that children receive the financial support they deserve.
Fifty years later, federal, state, and tribal child support agencies continue an ongoing partnership that helps millions of children and families thrive. We are proud to work alongside you.
Here’s to 50 years of progress, and to the many more years ahead!
